Easter was a sweet time. Zoe got more into the Easter egg hunt this year. We enjoyed watching her try to find our eggs... and for one girl, she quickly found the eggs. Next year Sophia will be at it as well! Both girls got age-appropriate toy keys & treats (Zoe got candy & Sophia got little melt-aways). Grandma got them some beautiful new baskets. Sophia was very interested in the texture of the basket grass. She liked feeling it on her face.
We dyed eggs over webcam with The Pelisheks. That was fun though we had to keep bring Zoe back as her attention span doesn't stick very long on the webcam. It's still neat that we can do those things with them.
The evening before I went on my retreat, we spent some time together. I knew I would miss everyoe, so I wanted some focused time together. I bought the girls swirly suckers & we chilled outside. It was Sopher's first time with a sucker. She enjoyed, but was perplexed. :) Matt took these photos from his perspective.
I love switching up our normal schedule. This Saturday, instead of the normal lax & watch cartoons, we went to the park at Riverwalk right away. We walked around the lake & let the girls play. Sophia SO loves the swing. It's one of the few things that really makes her laugh.
Zoe brought her ducks along & was determined to let them swim. Matt had a great dad idea to let them race upstream so we could catch them... that was an adventure Zoe loved. We let the ducks race like 3-4 times & captured them.
We had to pull Zoe away from the ice cream truck when we were leaving to get ice cream at Target. We had a nice time looking around Target, too. Zoe used her allowance money to get a butterfly net. I love Target.
Wonderful day.
